Product junkie

Over a few months, I read a lot of good reviews about the skincare line Philosophy. Two weeks ago, I decided to make my first order on Sephora. We aren't lucky enough to have a Sephora in my region...the closest is in Boston at about 10 hours from my house. I've been to Sephora once and I was overwhelmed by the selection. I had bought a Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + foundation and a Nars blush in ''Deep Throat''. I feel in love with both product, the foundation does cover really well and the blush is a nice shade of peachy pink with just the right amount of shimmer. Ok, so going back to my Sephora online order...I got Purity Made Simple (20$ USD for 8oz.) and Hope in a jar (38$ USD for 2 oz.). Let me tell you about the 2 products:
Purity Made Simple
What it is:
A highly-effective one-step facial cleanser.
What it is formulated to do:
Philosophy Purity Made Simple is a ph-balanced formula that rapidly dissolves dirt and makeup while deep cleaning pores. The best-selling cleanser contains infusions of sage, chamomile, and carrot.
What else you need to know:
Purity Made Simple is part of a collection of Philosophy products designed to soothe even the most dry and sensitive skin.
Hope In a Jar
What it is:
A therapeutic daily facial moisturizer for all skin types.
What it is formulated to do:
The original formula of Hope In A Jar was originally created for the medical market and is a world-renowned skin cream. For years, plastic surgeons have been recommending this formula to patients in pursuit of younger, healthier skin. Results can be seen and felt within days - a healthy, rosy glow to the skin that doesn't require makeup or cover up.
I have been using both product in the morning and at night. I love the cleanser, it removes makeup so easily. It leaves my skin feeling clean but not the annoying squeeky clean feeling that I dislike. I have very sensitive combination skin with acne and eczema. My acne is still there but my face feels softer. I was using the product and realized that the pump from my Creative Scentsation hand soap (great soap by the way!)...so I did a swap and it is so much better now. Ok for the cream...first the smell, it is a gross smell but you forget about it after a couple of minutes. My boyfriend hasn't complained so it must not be that bad. My skin is softer but I'm not sure if it's because of the cleanser, the cream or a combination or both. This is an expensive cream for me, I usually use Nivea Soft Skin at 12$ for more than twice the amount of product. This cream gets absorbed so quickly that you wonder if it actually goes into the skin.
